KUALA LUMPUR — Team Vamos, representing Malaysia, has secured its first win in the second round of the Swiss Stage at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) M6 World Championship, after defeating Argentine competitors Maycam Evolve.
Our roster — Muhd Nazhan Mohd Nor (Chibi), Mohd Zul Hisham Mohd Nor (Xorn), Rizky Agustian (Warlord), Aeliff Adam Md Ariff (Smooth), and Kenneth Sablande Barro (Nets) — deployed bold strategies, introducing surprising hero picks that caught the opponent off-guard.
One of the standout plays was Xorn’s use of Helcurt, a hero normally associated with tank lineups. This caught Maycam Evolve completely by surprise. Meanwhile, Warlord brought Gatotkaca into the midlane — another deviation from expectations. Chibi, as the team’s jungler using Joy, delivered an impressive performance that the opposition had difficulty containing.
Chibi racked up 5 kills and was named MVP of the match, helping us wrap up the game in just 12 minutes.
“Yesterday, we felt a bit nervous playing on stage — perhaps the chill in the arena affected our performance. Today, we reviewed our mistakes, came better prepared, and even brought jackets.
If you ask me, we’re now ready for all upcoming matches. For the Helcurt pick, I had to devise a strategy for this Best of 1 format — since we only meet our opponents once, they won’t have time to adapt or counter our new picks like Helcurt. With the heroes at our disposal, I believed we could win,” said Xorn (Zul Hisham) after the match.
Team Vamos will now move into the third round of the Swiss Stage, placed in the Mid 1-1 bracket after registering one win and one loss. Our next opponent will be determined once all round-two matches conclude.
